Ingredients

20 large pasta shells

8 oz ricotta cheese

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided

8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped

1 cup cooked crab meat

1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp lemon zest

1 tsp Old Bay seasoning

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups marinara sauce

1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

Cook the Pasta Shells: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.

Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, cream cheese, 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan, 1/2 cup of mozzarella, chopped shrimp, crab meat, parsley, garlic, lemon zest, Old Bay seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix until well blended.

Stuff the Shells: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Use a tablespoon to fill each cooked pasta shell with the seafood filling, and place them face up in a greased 9x13 baking dish.

Make the Sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the marinara sauce and heavy cream. Stir until smooth and heated through. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.

Assemble the Dish: Pour the creamy marinara sauce evenly over the stuffed shells. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with foil (to prevent sticking, spray the foil with cooking spray). Bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serve: Allow the dish to cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.
