½ cup natural peanut butter (or almond butter)

⅓ cup honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)

½ cup mini dark chocolate chips

¼ cup ground flaxseed

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon salt

Optional: ¼ cup shredded coconut or chopped nuts for additional texture

Instructions
 

In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, ground flaxseed, and salt, mixing them thoroughly.

    In a separate bowl, mix together the peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until smooth and well-blended.

      Pour the wet mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix well until everything is fully combined.

        Fold in the mini chocolate chips and any optional ingredients like shredded coconut or chopped nuts. Ensure an even distribution of all components.

          Using your hands, scoop out small portions of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter. If the mixture is too sticky, dampen your hands lightly with water to help with rolling.

            Place the energy balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

              Once all the mixture is formed into balls, refrigerate them for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
