Ingredients

20 large pasta shells

2 cups ricotta cheese

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

3 cups marinara sauce

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook Shells: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta shells and cook for about 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water to prevent sticking.

Prepare Filling: In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, chopped spinach, 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and creamy.

Stuff Shells: Carefully fill each pasta shell with the cheese and spinach mixture, using a spoon or piping bag for easier filling.

Layer Marinara: Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce evenly on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange the stuffed shells in the dish, seam side up. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top, covering the shells completely.

Add Cheese Topping: Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese on top of the sauced shells.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Garnish & Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving. Enjoy your delicious cheesy stuffed shells!
