When preparing the Fiery Delight Sriracha Chicken Wraps, one of the most critical steps is ensuring that the chicken is cooked evenly. Cooking the chicken in a single layer allows for better heat distribution across the surface, resulting in a more uniform cooking process. This method not only enhances the flavor but also ensures that the chicken reaches the ideal internal temperature without becoming dry.

Ingredients

2 large chicken breasts, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (or more for extra heat)

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 large whole wheat tortillas

1 cup lettuce, shredded

1 medium cucumber, julienned

1 carrot, grated

1 bell pepper (red or yellow), sliced

½ cup cilantro, chopped

½ cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream (for dipping)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, Sriracha, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the sliced chicken and toss well to coat. Allow it to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).

Cook the Chicken: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the Wraps: Lay out the whole wheat tortillas on a clean surface. Divide the shredded lettuce, julienned cucumber, grated carrot, sliced bell pepper, and chopped cilantro evenly among the tortillas.

Assemble the Wraps: Add a portion of the cooked spicy chicken on top of the veggies in each tortilla. Drizzle with additional Sriracha if desired. Roll the tortillas tightly, folding in the sides as you go to keep the filling contained.

Serve: Cut the wraps in half diagonally and arrange them on a plate. Serve with a side of plain Greek yogurt or sour cream for dipping.
