1 large egg

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For the Spicy Honey Garlic Sauce:

1/3 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon sriracha (or more for extra heat)

1 teaspoon ginger, grated

1 tablespoon cornstarch (mixed with 1 tablespoon water to create a slurry)

For the Bowl:

2 cups cooked rice (jasmine or brown rice)

1 cup steamed broccoli (or your favorite vegetables)

Sliced green onions (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Make the meatball mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.

Form the meatballs: Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the meat mixture and roll into balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, making sure they’re spaced apart.

Bake the meatballs: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned.

Prepare the sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, sriracha, and grated ginger. Stir until well mixed and bring to a gentle simmer.

Thicken the sauce: Add the cornstarch slurry to the sauce and cook for a few more minutes until it thickens. Adjust seasoning and heat levels if necessary.

Combine meatballs and sauce: Once the meatballs are cooked, transfer them to the saucepan with the spicy honey garlic sauce. Gently toss to coat the meatballs evenly.

Assemble the bowls: In serving bowls, place a portion of rice, top with the spicy honey garlic meatballs, and add steamed broccoli.

Garnish: Sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds for added texture and flavor.

Serve: Enjoy your Spicy Honey Garlic Meatball Bowl warm and let it heat up your taste buds!
