For the Frosting:

1 cup unsweetened whipped cream (or whipped topping)

2 tbsp powdered sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Fresh berries (strawberries, chocolate chips, or sprinkles for decorating)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.

    Make the Vanilla Layer:

      - In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

        - Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

          - Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.

            - In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture and mix until smooth.

              - Pour the batter into one of the prepared pans and smooth the top. Repeat for the additional layers.

                Make the Chocolate Layer:

                  - Repeat the process of creaming butter and sugar. Add eggs, then milk.

                    - In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually combine it with the wet ingredients, mixing until just blended.

                      - Pour the mixture into the second prepared pan.

                        Make the Strawberry Layer:

                          - Follow the same method for creaming butter and sugar. Add eggs and milk, along with strawberry puree.

                            - Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well and pour into the third pan.

                              Bake the Cakes:

                                - Place all three pans in the preheated oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

                                  - Once baked, let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then invert onto wire racks to cool completely.

                                    Prepare the Frosting:

                                      - In a bowl, combine the whipped cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until soft peaks form.

                                        Assemble the Cake:

                                          - Once the cakes are completely cooled, place the vanilla layer on a cake stand. Spread a layer of frosting on top.

                                            - Add the chocolate layer and repeat with frosting. Top with the strawberry layer and cover the entire cake with the remaining whipped cream.

                                              - Decorate with fresh berries, chocolate chips, or colorful sprinkles for a festive touch.

                                                Serve and Enjoy!
