Ingredients

For the Pimento Cheese:

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded cream cheese

1/2 cup diced pimentos (drained)

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Burgers:

1 1/2 lbs ground beef (80/20 mix)

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp onion powder

Salt and black pepper to taste

4 hamburger buns

Lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles for toppings (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Pimento Cheese:

    - In a medium mixing bowl, combine the shredded sharp cheddar and cream cheese.

      - Add the diced pimentos, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

        - Mix well until everything is thoroughly combined. Adjust seasoning if necessary and set aside in the refrigerator to chill.

          Make the Burger Patties:

            - In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

              - Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into flat patties that are slightly larger than your hamburger buns.

                Stuff the Burgers:

                  - Take 4 of the patties and place about 2 tablespoons of the chilled pimento cheese mixture in the center of each patty.

                    - Top each with a second patty and seal the edges by pressing them together to create a stuffed burger. Ensure no cheese is exposed to prevent it from leaking while cooking.

                      Cook the Burgers:

                        - Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

                          - Cook the stuffed burgers for about 4-5 minutes on one side until they develop a nice seer.

                            - Flip the burgers and cook for another 4-5 minutes on the other side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness (internal temperature of 160°F for medium).

                              Assemble the Burgers:

                                - Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

                                  - Place the stuffed burgers on the bottom half of each bun and top with lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles if using.

                                    - Spread additional pimento cheese on the top half of the bun for extra flavor and place it atop the burger.

                                      Serve:

                                        - Serve immediately with your favorite sides like fries or a salad. Enjoy your delicious Pimento Cheese Stuffed Burgers!
