Ingredients

1 can (29 oz) sliced peaches in syrup (or fresh peaches, peeled and sliced)

1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp cinnamon

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Peaches: If using fresh peaches, slice them and place them in a bowl. If using canned peaches, drain half of the syrup and pour the peaches (with the remaining syrup) into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Add the Sugars and Cinnamon: Sprinkle the brown sugar and granulated sugar evenly over the peaches. Then, sprinkle the cinnamon on top, mixing gently to ensure the peaches are well-coated in the sugars and cinnamon.

Dump the Cake Mix: Open the box of yellow cake mix and evenly sprinkle its contents over the peach mixture. Do not stir; just spread it out to cover the peaches.

Drizzle with Butter: Pour the melted butter evenly across the top of the cake mix. This will create a deliciously crisp topping as it bakes.

Add Nuts (Optional): If you like a bit of crunch, sprinkle the chopped pecans over the butter-drizzled cake mix.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, allow the dump cake to cool for about 10-15 minutes. Serve warm with a scoop of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream on top, if desired.

Enjoy: Relish the warm, sweet, and fruity flavors of your Peach Cobbler Dump Cake!
