4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed

2 tablespoons olive oil

Juice and zest of 1 large lemon

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Prepare the Chicken Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. This will be your flavorful marinade.

      Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a large bowl or ziplock bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the fridge for more flavor).

        Prepare the Asparagus: While the chicken is marinating, wash and trim the asparagus. In a separate bowl, toss the asparagus with a tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper.

          Combine in Baking Dish: On a large baking sheet or in a one-pan oven-safe dish, arrange the marinated chicken breasts. Scatter the asparagus around the chicken.

            Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the asparagus is tender-crisp.

              Broil for Extra Flavor (Optional): If you prefer a golden finish, switch the oven to broil for the last 3-5 minutes, keeping a close eye to avoid burning.

                Serve: Remove from the oven, allow to rest for a couple of minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zesty kick!
