Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings

1/4 cup olive oil

Zest of 2 lemons

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

2 teaspoons black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken Wings: In a large bowl, rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps the skin get crispy when cooked.

Make the Marinade: In a separate bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and smoked paprika until well combined.

Marinate the Wings: Pour the marinade over the chicken wings, ensuring all wings are thoroughly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for maximum flavor.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top (this allows the heat to circulate around the wings for even cooking).

Arrange the Wings: Once marinated, remove the wings from the refrigerator and arrange them in a single layer on the wire rack on the baking sheet. Make sure they are not touching, for crispy results.

Bake the Wings: Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy. If you desire extra crispiness, broil them for an additional 2-3 minutes, keeping a close eye to avoid burning.

Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, garnish the wings with chopped fresh parsley. Serve with extra lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or blue cheese.
