Ingredients

2 cans of refrigerated crescent roll dough

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 large eggs

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Fresh berries (for garnish, optional)

Whipped cream (for serving, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.

Prepare the Crescent Dough: Unroll one can of the crescent roll dough and lay it flat at the bottom of the greased baking dish, pressing the seams together to form a crust.

Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs together until smooth and creamy. Make sure there are no lumps.

Spread the Filling: Pour the cheesecake filling over the crescent dough in the baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Add the Top Layer: Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough. Place it over the cheesecake filling, again pressing the seams together.

Sprinkle with Cinnamon and Sugar: In a small bowl, combine the cinnamon and a couple of tablespoons of sugar. Sprinkle this mixture over the top layer of crescent dough for extra flavor.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

Cool and Dust: Once baked, remove from the oven and allow the casserole to cool slightly for about 10 minutes. Then dust the top with powdered sugar.

Serve: Slice into squares and serve warm with fresh berries and a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
