Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

Salt and pepper to taste

Juice of 1 lemon

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir until well combined and the mixture is smooth. Allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes to marry the flavors. Remove from heat and set aside.

Marinate the Salmon: Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides. Place them in a shallow dish and pour half of the honey butter mixture over the fillets. Allow them to marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare for Baking: Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Place the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down in the dish. Drizzle the remaining honey butter mixture over the top of the fillets.

Bake the Salmon: Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). If you like a slightly caramelized top, you can broil the salmon for the last 2 minutes.

Finish and Serve: Once cooked, remove from the oven and drizzle with fresh lemon juice. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving. This dish pairs beautifully with steamed vegetables or a light salad!
