Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped

1 lemon, zested and juiced

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional for a smoky flavor)

Lemon slices, for garnish

Fresh herbs for garnish (additional parsley and dill)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare Foil: Cut 4 pieces of aluminum foil, about 12 inches long each. Lay the foil on a baking sheet for easy handling.

Make Herb Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped dill, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika if using. Mix well.

Prepare Salmon: Place each salmon fillet in the center of the foil pieces. Spoon a generous amount of the herb garlic butter mixture over each fillet, ensuring they are well-covered.

Seal the Foil: Fold up the sides of the foil over the salmon, then fold the top and bottom to create a sealed packet. Make sure it’s well-sealed to trap in moisture and flavor.

Bake: Place the foil packets on the baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Serve: Carefully open the foil packets (watch out for steam!), and transfer the salmon to plates. Drizzle any remaining herb garlic butter from the packets over the top, garnish with lemon slices and extra herbs if desired.

Enjoy: Serve with your choice of sides, such as rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
