Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

Zest of 1 orange

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon cold water (for thickening)

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides. Set them aside.

Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, place the chicken thighs in the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until browned and thoroughly cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.

Make the Glaze: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low. Add the minced ginger and garlic, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the freshly squeezed orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, and honey. Stir to combine.

Thicken the Sauce: Increase the heat to medium and bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Add the cornstarch slurry (cornstarch mixed with cold water) to the skillet while stirring constantly. Let the sauce simmer for about 2-3 minutes or until it thickens to your desired consistency.

Glaze the Chicken: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, turning it in the glaze until it's well-coated. Let it simmer in the sauce for another 2-3 minutes so the flavors meld.

Serve: Remove the skillet from the heat. Plate the ginger orange glazed chicken, spooning extra glaze over the top. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for added color and crunch.

Enjoy: Serve the ginger orange glazed chicken with steamed rice or a fresh salad for a delightful meal.
