Ingredients

1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tbsp unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

1 tsp lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste

1 baguette or ciabatta loaf, sliced into 1-inch thick pieces

Olive oil, for brushing

Optional: Grated Parmesan cheese, for sprinkling

Instructions

Prepare the Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Cook the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet, sprinkle with red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Stir in the lemon juice and fresh parsley, mixing well to combine. Remove from heat.

Toast the Bread: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush each slice lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy.

Assemble the Toast Bites: After toasting, take out the garlic butter shrimp, and place a generous spoonful on each toasted bread slice. Top with a little bit of grated Parmesan if desired.

Final Touch: Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in the skillet and drizzle it over the assembled shrimp toast bites for an extra buttery flavor.

Serve: Garnish with additional parsley or lemon wedges if you like, and serve immediately while warm.
