Ingredients

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved

2 ripe bananas, sliced into 1/4-inch rounds

1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or flavored)

2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional for sweetness)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

3/4 cup granola or crushed nuts for coating (optional)

A pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberries and Bananas: Start by hulling the strawberries and slicing the bananas into uniform rounds. This will ensure they freeze evenly.

Mix the Yogurt: In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup if you're using it), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the mixture is creamy and well combined.

Coat the Fruit: Take a half strawberry and place a banana slice on top (you can also make it the other way around, but this setup is visually appealing). Dip this combo into the yogurt mixture, ensuring it is well-coated all around.

Coat with Granola or Nuts: If you’re using granola or crushed nuts, roll the yogurt-covered fruit in it to create a crunchy layer. This step is optional but adds a delightful texture.

Freeze the Bites: Place the coated strawberry-banana bites on a parchment-lined tray. Ensure they are spaced apart to prevent sticking. Once the tray is filled, place it in the freezer for about 2-3 hours or until they are completely frozen.

Serving: Once frozen, you can transfer the bites to a freezer-safe bag or container. Serve these delightful treats straight from the freezer for a refreshing snack!
