Ingredients

2 cups plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or low-fat)

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust for sweetness)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

1/2 cup sliced almonds (toasted if desired)

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)

Fresh fruits for topping (like berries or banana slices)

Instructions

Mix the Base: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and almond extract. Stir well until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Prepare the Almonds: If you prefer toasted almonds, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), spread the sliced almonds on a baking sheet, and toast for about 5-7 minutes or until golden. Let them cool.

Fold in Almonds: Gently fold the sliced almonds into the yogurt mixture, ensuring they are evenly distributed. If using chocolate chips, fold them in as well.

Transfer to Pan: Line a small baking dish (around 8x8 inches) with parchment paper. Pour the yogurt mixture into the dish and spread it out evenly with a spatula.

Freeze: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for at least 4 hours or until fully frozen.

Slice and Serve: Once frozen, remove the dish from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly for easier slicing. Cut into squares or rectangles as desired.

Garnish: For a refreshing touch, top each slice with fresh fruits before serving.

Enjoy: Serve immediately or store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
