Ingredients

1 pint cherry tomatoes

8 oz fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini)

Fresh basil leaves

Balsamic glaze (for drizzling)

Extra virgin olive oil (for drizzling)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Skewers (6-inch)

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients: Rinse the cherry tomatoes and pat dry with a paper towel. Drain the mozzarella balls from their liquid and set aside. Make sure your basil leaves are clean and dry as well.

Assemble the Skewers: Take a skewer and thread a cherry tomato through the end. Next, add a fresh basil leaf. Follow this with a mozzarella ball. Repeat the layering process until the skewer is filled with 2-3 tomatoes, 2-3 basil leaves, and 2-3 mozzarella balls, ensuring to finish with a tomato on top.

Season the Skewers: Place the assembled skewers on a serving platter. Drizzle them lightly with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic glaze. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper over the skewers to enhance the flavors.

Chill (Optional): If time allows, place the assembled skewers in the refrigerator for about 15-30 minutes to chill and let the flavors meld together.

Serve: Serve the skewers cold or at room temperature as a delicious appetizer or snack. Enjoy!
