Ingredients

1 pre-made pie crust (9-inch)

2 cups fresh broccoli florets (blanched)

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 tablespoon olive oil (for sautéing)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Pie Crust: Place the pre-made pie crust into a 9-inch pie pan. Press it down gently against the sides and bottom, and prick the bottom with a fork to prevent bubbling.

Blanch the Broccoli: In a pot of boiling salted water, add the broccoli florets and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they're bright green and slightly tender. Drain and immediately immerse them in ice water to stop cooking. Drain again and set aside.

Sauté the Broccoli (optional): In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the blanched broccoli florets and sauté for about 2-3 minutes to enhance their flavor. Remove from heat.

Mix the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.

Combine Ingredients: Add the sautéed broccoli to the egg mixture, along with the shredded cheddar cheese and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until well combined.

Assemble the Quiche: Pour the broccoli and cheese mixture into the prepared pie crust. Use a spatula to ensure the filling is evenly distributed.

Bake: Carefully place the quiche in the preheated oven and bake for about 35-40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let the quiche cool for about 10-15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature, garnished with extra cheese or fresh herbs if desired.
