Ingredients

1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 cup broccoli florets

1 medium carrot, julienned

1 cup snap peas

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ginger, minced

1 tablespoon sesame oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooked jasmine rice or noodles for serving

Optional: Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnishing

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well to coat the beef. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes for enhanced flavor.

Prep the Vegetables: While the beef is marinating, wash and slice your vegetables. Prepare them in advance so everything cooks quickly.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Ensure it's hot before adding the ingredients; you can test by splashing a little water—it should sizzle.

Cook the Beef: Add the marinated beef to the pan in a single layer. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until browned, stirring occasionally. Once cooked, remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

Stir-Fry the Vegetables: In the same pan, add a bit more oil if necessary, then add the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Next, add the red bell pepper, broccoli, carrots, and snap peas. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the veggies are tender-crisp.

Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked beef to the pan with the vegetables. Drizzle with sesame oil, and stir well to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve: Serve the stir-fry hot over cooked jasmine rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired.
