Ingredients

4 bone-in chicken thighs (skin-on for extra flavor)

1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

Optional garnish: chopped fresh parsley or green onions

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Rinse the chicken thighs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps the skin become crispy.

Season the Chicken: In a large bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and rub the seasoning mix all over the chicken to ensure they are well coated.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cook the Chicken: Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, skin-side down. Cook for 15 minutes.

Add BBQ Sauce: After 15 minutes, flip the chicken thighs over. Brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce on top of the thighs. Cook for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the air fryer. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Drizzle with more BBQ sauce if desired and garnish with chopped parsley or green onions.
