Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

½ cup buffalo sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted

Celery sticks and blue cheese dressing for serving

Instructions

Prep the Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This step is crucial to ensure they become crispy in the air fryer.

Seasoning Mix: In a large bowl, combine baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to create an even coating.

Coat the Wings: Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them in the seasoning mix until they are completely coated.

Air-Frying: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the seasoned wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crispiness.

Buffalo Sauce Preparation: While the wings are cooking, combine the buffalo sauce and melted butter in a separate bowl. Stir well to create a smooth sauce.

Toss in Sauce: Once the wings are golden and crispy, carefully remove them from the air fryer. Place them in a large bowl, add the buffalo sauce mixture, and toss until the wings are evenly coated.

Final Crisp (Optional): For extra crunch, return the coated wings to the air fryer for an additional 3-5 minutes at 400°F (200°C).

Serve: Serve the wings hot with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing on the side for dipping.
