Ingredients

For the Chicken Tenders:

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips

1 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

Cooking spray or olive oil for greasing

For the Honey Mustard Dip:

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken:

    - In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

      - Add the chicken strips to the bowl, ensuring they are well-coated.

        - Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to overnight for maximum flavor.

          Prepare the Breading Station:

            - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

              - Set up a breading station with three separate bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.

                Bread the Chicken:

                  - Remove the marinated chicken strips from the refrigerator.

                    - Dredge each strip in flour, shaking off any excess.

                      - Dip the strip in the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip back into the bowl.

                        - Finally, coat the chicken in the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere well.

                          Bake the Chicken:

                            - Place the breaded chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet.

                              - Lightly spray them with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil for extra crispiness.

                                - Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through, flipping halfway through the baking time.

                                  Make the Honey Mustard Dip:

                                    - While the chicken is baking, whisk together mayonnaise, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until smooth.

                                      - Adjust seasoning according to taste, and set aside.

                                        Serve:

                                          - Once the chicken tenders are crispy and golden, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes.

                                            - Serve the chicken tenders hot with the honey mustard dip on the side.
