Ingredients

1 pound chicken tenders

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

2 cups breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

Cooking spray or olive oil spray

For the Honey Mustard Sauce:

½ cup mayonnaise

¼ cup honey

¼ cup Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Breading Station: Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls.

      - In the first bowl, add the all-purpose flour mixed with ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon black pepper.

        - In the second bowl, whisk together the eggs.

          - In the third bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and the remaining salt and pepper.

            Bread the Chicken Tenders:

              - Dip each chicken tender first in the flour, shaking off any excess.

                - Then, dip it into the egg mixture, ensuring it is fully coated.

                  - Finally, press it into the breadcrumb mixture, making sure the tender is completely covered. Place it on the prepared baking sheet.

Spray for Crispiness: Once all tenders are breaded and on the baking sheet, lightly spray the tops with cooking spray or olive oil to encourage browning and crispiness.

Bake the Chicken Tenders: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).

Make the Honey Mustard Sauce: While the chicken tends to bake, prepare the dipping sauce. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Adjust seasoning according to taste.

Serve: Once the chicken tenders are crispy and cooked through, remove them from the oven. Serve hot with the honey mustard sauce on the side for dipping.
