Ingredients

1 pound fresh strawberries (preferably with stems)

8 ounces semisweet chocolate (or dark chocolate for a richer flavor)

2 ounces white chocolate (optional, for drizzling)

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for a glossy finish)

Sea salt or crushed nuts for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberries: Rinse the strawberries gently under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Make sure they are completely dry, as water can prevent the chocolate from adhering.

Melt the Chocolate: Break the semisweet chocolate into small pieces and place it in a microwave-safe bowl. If using coconut oil, add it to the chocolate. Microwave on high for 30 seconds, stir, and then microwave in additional 15-second intervals until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat.

Dip the Strawberries: Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is evenly coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing the strawberry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Drizzle with White Chocolate (Optional): If using white chocolate, melt it in the same way as the dark chocolate. Once melted, use a fork or a small piping bag to drizzle the white chocolate over the chocolate-covered strawberries for a decorative touch.

Garnish: Sprinkle sea salt or crushed nuts over the chocolate-covered strawberries while the chocolate is still wet for added flavor and texture.

Chill: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has fully set.

Serve: Arrange the chocolate-covered strawberries on a serving platter and enjoy them fresh. They are best consumed the same day but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
