Chili Garlic Butter Noodles

8 oz (225 g) noodles (spaghetti, udon, or your choice)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

5 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons chili oil

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

2 green onions, chopped

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (toasted)

Fresh cilantro or basil leaves, for garnish

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

Cook the Noodles: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.

    Prepare the Butter Mixture: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

      Add Heat and Flavor: Stir in chili oil, red pepper flakes, soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and rice vinegar. Mix well to combine and let it simmer on low heat for about 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
