Chicken Salad Crescent Rolls

Ingredients
  

2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup Greek yogurt (or additional mayonnaise)

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup celery, finely chopped

1/4 cup red grapes, halved (optional)

1/4 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped (optional)

2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough

Fresh parsley or dill for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken Salad:

    - In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.

      - Gently fold in the chopped celery, grapes, and nuts if using. Taste and adjust the seasoning as necessary.

        Preheat the Oven:

          - Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

            Prepare the Crescent Rolls:

              - Unroll one can of crescent roll dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

                - Separate the dough into triangles along the perforated edges.

                  Fill the Rolls:

                    - Spoon a generous amount of the chicken salad mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.

                      - Carefully roll each triangle from the wide end to the point, tucking in the sides as you roll to encase the filling.

                        Bake:

                          - Place the filled crescent rolls on the baking sheet, spaced apart. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.

                            Serve:

                              - Once baked, allow the rolls to cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley or dill if desired. Serve warm, and enjoy your delicious chicken salad crescent rolls!
