Ingredients

2 (8 oz) packages of crescent roll dough

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 large eggs

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)

Fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries) for topping

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Crescent Rolls: Unroll one package of the crescent roll dough and lay it flat at the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, pressing it together to seal any seams.

Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the vanilla extract, eggs (one at a time), sour cream, and lemon juice (if using). Mix until fully combined and smooth.

Spread the Filling: Pour the cheesecake mixture over the layer of crescent rolls in the baking dish, ensuring it’s evenly distributed.

Add the Second Layer: Unroll the second package of crescent roll dough and place it over the cheesecake filling. Carefully stretch it to cover the filling as fully as possible, sealing the edges.

Bake the Casserole: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool and Dust: Once baked, remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for 10-15 minutes. Dust the top with powdered sugar and slice into squares.

Serve: Serve warm or at room temperature, topped with fresh berries for a vibrant finish. Enjoy your delicious Creamy Cheesecake Crescent Rolls Casserole!
