Ingredients

2 cups almond flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

3 ripe bananas, mashed

3 large eggs

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

1/2 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped (optional)

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9x5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper for easy removal.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, baking soda, sea salt, and cinnamon (if using). Whisk these together until well blended.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the mashed bananas, eggs, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Pour the wet mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix. If using, fold in chopped nuts and chocolate chips.

Pour into Pan: Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan, smoothing out the top with a spatula.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.

Cool and Serve: Let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
