Ingredients

  • 1.0 pound ground turkey
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2.0 teaspoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1.0 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1.0 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2.0 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1.0 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1.0 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1.0 spray cooking spray or oil for greasing

Instructions

  • Prepare the Herb Butter: In a medium bowl, mix the softened butter, parsley, thyme, rosemary, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined. Set aside.
  • Combine Turkey and Ingredients: In a large bowl, add the ground turkey and half of the herb butter (about 2 tablespoons). Mix gently with your hands or a spoon until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the bites tender.
  • Form Turkey Bites: With your hands, shape the turkey mixture into bite-sized balls (about 1 inch in diameter). Once all are formed, roll each bite in breadcrumbs to coat them lightly.
  • Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Arrange and Spray: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the turkey bites in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they are not touching. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  • Air Fry: Cook the turkey bites in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. They are done when they are golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Serve with Herb Butter: While the turkey bites are hot, drizzle with the remaining herb butter or serve it on the side for dipping. Enjoy them with your favorite dipping sauce or a fresh salad.
  • Garnish: Optionally, you can sprinkle additional fresh herbs on top before serving for a burst of color and flavor.
